1. Time for a change - Easy Update iQ.Suite Store 4.2
Over the past few months, we have ramped up the productive capacity of our archiving solution, iQ.Suite Store for Lotus Notes Domino and Microsoft Exchange, with a host of new functions and performance enhancements.
We would like to focus our resources more strongly on the current versions of iQ.Suite Store in the future, so as of 31 December 2009 iQ.Suite Store v3.6 and all previous versions will be discontinued and technical support will no longer be offered.
We would like to migrate to the current version as seamless as possible and have therefore designed an attractive update package to support you with this change-over. Take this opportunity to switch over and benefit from the advantages of iQ.Suite Store 4.2 for Lotus Notes Domino and Microsoft Exchange.

2. The five rules for improved email productivity
Reduce costs and at the same time improve efficiency and productivity. That is the aim of every company and also applies to email communication. But how to find the right balance?
We have collected the five most important rules for improving email productivity for you here:
- Prevent the transmission of confidential data!
Restrict the uncontrolled use of emails. Data loss prevention is the keyword. In addition to a reliable system to monitor content, effective application of the peer-review principle ensures that sensitive data is protected. This allows business-critical emails to be checked by a second person before they are sent. The iQ.Suite Smart solution offered by GROUP Technologies allows emails to be stopped before they are sent so they can be approved by a second person.
- Improve customer satisfaction with systematic deputy management!
Customer service and support have discovered how valuable email can be for them. Companies offer contact by email, which means that their customers expect a prompt response to their enquiries. To avoid a breakdown in communications, incoming enquiries should be dealt with quickly even when a member of staff is away. iQ.Suite Clerk forwards your electronic mail to any person or group you care to define - sickness or vacation no longer need to hold up the flow of information.
- Optimise your email traffic!
In order to optimise business processes, it is necessary to survey email communication continually and effectively. Thorough analysis of email traffic with iQ.Suite Budget for Lotus Notes Domino makes it possible to create a number of different reports based on the type, size of file attachments or on private and business correspondence.
- Take the load off your infrastructure!
Sending emails with large quantities of data overloads your server and network in everyday business. Business-critical tasks can only be carried out with a delay, valuable time is lost. iQ.Suite Smart offers a way to plan the exact time and method of despatch for each individual email, ensuring that mailing campaigns are carried out with greater efficiency.
- Keep an eye on the costs of your email communication!
Only companies that have a tight grip on the economy of their IT systems will remain competitive in the long term. Effective cost control and efficient email monitoring are cases in point. iQ.Suite Budget can analyse all your email traffic in detail. You will learn what your company’s email system actually costs, broken down by users, groups and departments. In addition, loads can be analysed over time from an economic point of view and optimised, as can resource bottlenecks.
You will find more information about email productivity here.

4. Exchange/SMTP Corner: embedding notification in email text
Up to now, it has been possible for iQ.Suite processing information to be written in the subject line of the email being analysed. There was the option of sending more detailed information to the recipient in a separate notification email.
With iQ.Suite 8 Exchange/SMTP you can now embed this data directly in the processed emails.
For instructions on how to implement this new function when sending recipient notifications, read here.
